About me...
Welcome. I’m Tom.
I offer culturally sensitive therapy through an intersectional lens. As a therapist, my primary responsibility is to create a safe space—both physically and psychologically—for you to bring your whole self without judgment. I am a white British northerner and father based in London, and I recognize that the many identities we hold influence how we experience the world. Together, we can explore the unique intricacies, frictions, and certainties that make your reasons for coming to therapy deeply personal.
I work with a wide range of emotional issues, including anxiety, shame, trauma, and issues of power and oppression. I have a particular interest in working with longing—for what is missed or never had—and the complexities of intimacy across all genders and sexualities. In a culture where vulnerability is often devalued, we will explore how you can feel more understood, safe, and connected.
Experience & Ethics I hold seven years of experience, including four years of advanced clinical training in Relational Transactional Analysis at the TA East Institute. My background spans the NHS, drug and alcohol services, and community charities. Having previously worked in the music industry as a performer and plugger, I also bring lived experience of the creative and freelance lifestyle.
I am a trainee member of the UKCP and UKATA, abiding by their strict codes of ethics.
I offer short and long term Counselling & Psychotherapy both online and face to face in Leyton E10 (close to central line). My practice is wheelchair accessible, LGBTQ+ aware and inclusive and I fully accept your sexual, gender or relationship identity. I offer a free approx. 15-minute phone assessment so that we can discuss your reasons for seeking therapy.

Fees
My standard fee is £60.00 per 50 mins.
However, I offer a limited number of reduced-rate slots based on need — please enquire about current availability.
If we decide to work together, sessions will last 50 minutes and take place once a week, either online or in person.
Professional Standards and Public Protection
As a UKCP and UKATA trainee member, I am bound by their Code of Ethics and Professional Practice, which sets out clear standards for client care, confidentiality, and ongoing professional development. The UKCP’s register is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care. This independent body protects the public and helps ensure you can choose a practitioner to meet your needs with confidence. Registration with UKCP is a hallmark of quality and trust, providing you with reassurance that your therapist is accountable to a robust ethical and complaints framework.
If you have any questions about my advanced Relational TA training, the qualification i'm working towards, my approach, or the standards I follow, please feel free to ask. Your safety, comfort, and confidence are my top priorities.
