About me...
Welcome. I'm Tom, I offer culturally sensitive therapy through an intersectional lens. As a therapist, my primary responsibility is to create a safe space for you to feel accepted and valued for who you are. A space for you to bring your whole self without judgement. To explore the identities and intricacies you hold, and how these many facets make you, and your reasons for coming to therapy, unique. I hope we may find our way of working together, suited to wherever you are on your journey at this moment.
I hold 7 years experience including 4 years advance training in Relational Psychotherapy through an Intersectional Lens at TA East Institute, London. I work with wide range of psychological and emotional issues, be that stress, anxiety, relationship issues, intimacy, shame, self-esteem issues, anger, issues of power & oppression, trauma, and others.
I work with longing - for what is missed and often never had. I also work with love and intimacy experienced by any sex, gender or sexuality - What is intimacy? How does it impact the relationship with our self and others? How can we offer/invite more intimacy so we feel understood, safe and connected? Especially within a culture where emotions and vulnerability are often discouraged and devalued.
I offer short and long term Counselling & Psychotherapy both online and face to face in Leyton E10 (close to central line). My practice is wheelchair accessible, LGBTQ+ aware and inclusive and I fully accept your sexual, gender or relationship identity. I offer a free approx. 15-minute phone assessment so that we can discuss your reasons for seeking therapy.

Fees
My standard fee is £60.00 per 50 mins.
However, I offer a sliding scale and can provide concessions based on your individual circumstances. We can talk about this during our initial consultation.
If we decide to work together, sessions will last 50 minutes and take place once a week, either online or in person.
Professional Standards and Public Protection
As a UKCP and UKATA member, I am bound by their Code of Ethics and Professional Practice, which sets out clear standards for client care, confidentiality, and ongoing professional development. The UKCP’s register is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care. This independent body protects the public and helps ensure you can choose a practitioner to meet your needs with confidence. Registration with UKCP is a hallmark of quality and trust, providing you with reassurance that your therapist is accountable to a robust ethical and complaints framework.
If you have any questions about my qualifications, approach, or the standards I follow, please feel free to ask. Your safety, comfort, and confidence are my top priorities.
